Job Description

Develops courseware to support new and existing products, often though not exclusively in conjunction with Product Division.Coordinate and evaluate development contributions from other courseware development team members. Develop certification questions for use in the Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) exams. Solicit & incorporate feedback from reviews and training events. Deliver training at train-the-trainer and pilot events.Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Bachelor*s Degree in Computer Science or Instructional Design. Four years adult education experience (as teacher or curriculum developer). Seven years technical or professional experience using Oracle products or related software. Strong SQL and PL/SQL knowledge and experience. Knowledge of XML, Java, and J2EE technologies. Experience with Oracle9i Database administration. • Strategize and lead curriculum development for Oracle learning products
• Develop learning paths and manage the lifecycle of curriculum from design through maintenance
• Collaborate with product development/engineering, subject matter experts, instructors, field, and product management to identify audience needs and scope the learning objectives
• Deliver beta teaches, record videos for training on demand, and content for product learning subscriptions
• Set up and follow curriculum development processes and standards that work in a fast paced environment
• Assist with the creation of certification exams, quiz questions, and assessments
• Interact with vendors on deliverables and perform acceptance testing

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLSTechnical

• Minimum of 3 years technical or professional experience with exposure to any of Database, SQL, full stack, or Devops. Work with product/technology engineering teams on the design doc that includes both topics and lab components for the courses/modules
• Minimum of 5 years experience in developing technical content or instructional design
• Experience in using tools such as Articulate, Camtasia Studio, Captivate, Microsoft PowerPoint
• Experience in creating developer-focused content and exposure to instructional design principles is a plus
• Experience in developing labs/practices/demos in virtualized or cloud environments is preferred
• Experience in using Oracle products or related software is a plus
• Experience working in the artificial intelligence, machine learning, IoT, or DevOps domain is a huge plus

• Excellent technical writing skills, and strong verbal communication skills
• Excellent problem solving, analytical, and project management skills
• Ability to conceptualize and present technical concepts in a clear and concise manner
• Ability to visualize and illustrate complex concepts graphically
• Knowledge of the technology and the ability to write code for use in lab exercises and demos
