Job Description

Work with Oracles world class technology to develop, implement, and support Oracles global infrastructure.As a member of the IT organization, assist with the analyze of existing complex programs and formulate logic for new complex internal systems. Prepare flowcharting, perform coding, and test/debug programs. Develop conversion and system implementation plans. Recommend changes to development, maintenance, and system standards.Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. BS or equivalent experience in programming on enterprise or department servers or systems., DevOps Engineer, Genesys and Blackchair Spotlight We are looking for a talented and hands on DevOps Engineer. Our mission is to develop and maintain Oracle Contact Center platform, build integrated digital assistants and manage Oracle Service Cloud implementation. We support various Lines of Businesses to help improve their customer interaction, support and engagement experience, deflect or avoid service tickets. We are seeking a DevOps Engineer that is passionate about cloud computing, infrastructure-as-code, and automating and provisioning highly available contact center, bots, and service cloud applications. You will work closely with agile teams to ensure they have the tools needed to write, test and deploy code with ease and ensure dev and QA satisfaction. You will build and maintain continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) environments, processes and tools. Responsible for the entire ecosystem of our release management organization. We are responsible for source code control system, Blackchair Spotlight, issue tracking system, continuous integration system along with other smaller tools and integrations.Responsibilities

  • Build CI/CD environments and streamline deployments to Contact Center, Service Cloud and Digital Assistants with Jenkins, Gitlab, and other tools
  • Monitor and maintain production environment stability
  • Collaborate with Agile teams in defining technical requirements and best practices with containerized and cloud-native applications
  • Represent production support and site reliability in stand-ups, planning sessions, infrastructure code reviews, and architecture reviews
  • Help evolve our configuration management (CM) efforts and our move to containers
  • Provide on-call production support and possibly some after-hours work as needed
Work on innovative cloud CI/CD pipeline tools that orchestrate, deploy, manage, scale, optimize and oversee a contact center, digital assistant and enterprise application, deployed completely in the CloudMonitor, troubleshoot and manage production, testing and development environments.Build and maintain highly scalable, large scale deployments globallyRecommend new technologies as components of a solution when appropriate.Rotating 24/7 on-call support along with the Release ManagersQualificationsBS or MS in Computer Science or closely related field.9 years of work experienceStrong understanding of Linux and networking fundamentals.Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting and fault resolution skills.Object-oriented programming experience, for example in Python or Java.Ability to rapidly learn new software, frameworks, open source tools and development languages.Write and review code to automate development and deployment processes.Skills:Strong knowledge of large-scale contact center architecture based on cloud deployment.Experience with technologies like the following: Kafka, Docker, Elasticsearch, continuous integration (Drone, Jenkins, Travis, Bamboo) and understand its benefits, workflows, etcExperience with Chef, Terraform, Java, Javascript, Python, REST-style web services / APIs.Context-switch between multiple projects / codebases / concepts with easeUnderstand software development at a fundamental level, use the best tools for the job, and always think about the future (at scale) when architecting solutionsKnowledge in the desired tool CA release automation, Jenkins, repository management (SVN, GIT), deploying software through scripts (ANT, Make, Shell script, vb script)Knowledge on fundamental aspects for release automation (packaging, dependencies, promotion, deployment, compliance)Proficient in some of these: Chef, Github, Devops, Dockers, Jenkins, BlackchairConfiguration and Content Management experience with following is a plus Genesys Software Infrastructure and related third party applicationsGenesys configuration and application configurationsGenesys routing applicationsJava web services and applicationsOracle OBIEE reporting objects
