You will be a Magento Backend Developer in an ecommerce platform. You will be responsible for implementing new features at the backend, that is, the server- side logic. You will be responsible for integrating with other systems: o Internally: to Accounting / ERP / Fulfilment system o Externally: to logistics, payments partners and price comparison portals You will need to take complete ownership of features and/ or subsystems and integrations. You will be responsible for ensuring that the feature assigned works as specified. You should be able to give reasonable estimates to any task assigned. You should execute your assigned tasks in a timely manner to fit into the estimates. You should have the following required skills: Must have an engineering or an MCA degree, with 3- 5 years of total experience, with at least 2+ years in Magento environment. Must have a solid understanding PHP and Object Oriented Programming in PHP Should have a good understanding of Web Services using XML and/ or JSON and REST APIs. Should understand SQL and be able to construct SQL queries and run them. Familiarity with Linux based OSs such as Ubuntu The following additional skills are desired: Experience in front- end development using HTML / CSS / jQuery, so that you have an appreciation of the front- end clients as well Performance tuning of Magento applications Building plugins in Magento and magento 2 environment,
