Key Responsibilities Completes emergency, preventive and predictive maintenance tasks Troubleshoots mechanical breakdown situations in order to eliminate future occurrences Performs a wide range of operations connected with maintenance, repair and installation of equipment and mechanical lines (water, gas, air, etc.) Dismantle and inspect parts, rebuild/overhaul machines and troubleshoot machine components, such as gearboxes, feeding and adjusting mechanisms, bushings, sleeves, etc. Service and maintain miscellaneous material handling equipment. Maintain and repair plant systems to include plumbing, heating and air conditioning, ventilating and exhaust equipment, compressors, etc Perform electrical repairs to machines and equipment. Diagnose electrical/electronic malfunctions, troubleshoot microprocessors and recommend corrective actions. Perform structural work to include carpentry, welding, pipe fitting, sheet metal work, plumbing, electrical, masonry and concrete work incidental to work assignments. Work from complicated drawings, plans, sketches and layouts. Use precision measuring instruments such as scale, callipers, dividers, level, micrometres, etc. Instruct and guide employees in lower skill classifications in a variety of maintenance assignments. Maintains work area, shop floor and equipment in a neat, clean and orderly condition Completes records, forms and data entry as required by job Strives to eliminate any unscheduled equipment downtime Maintains consumables and replacement part inventory Rigging, moving and installing of equipment Responsible for accuracy of preventative and predictive maintenance program,
