We design and develop electronic and electro-mechanical or systems-orientated products, conduct feasibility studies on engineering proposals and prepare installation, operation and maintenance specifications and instructions. We re proud to deliver programs and products to the highest quality standards, on time and within budget.Key Responsibilities As Engineering Manager, you will build and manage the new Next Generation Converged Infrastructure (NGCI) engineering team based in Bangalore. Next Generation Converged Infrastructure (NGCI) has a globally distributed team in various locations in the United States and Ireland.

  • Assist in the recruitment for Engineering Team
  • Understanding of Infrastructure Automation & Software Development Life Cycle is Must
  • Manage teams of Platform and Automation engineers working on a suite of capabilities which will be part of the NGCI.
  • Work with NGCI leadership across the NGCI teams to meet organizational goals
  • Regular communication with NGCI leadership on progress and milestone achievement
  • Oversee all Lab development needs for the Global Engineering team
  • Be an advocate in setting and driving engineering best practices to deliver high-quality software in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and support to ensure that your team is successful and meets its goals
  • Establish a positive and productive culture, encouraging and inspiring team members to excel both individually and as a cohesive group.
  • Take an active role in the career development of your team members
  • Hands-on technical leadership and the ability to get into the code and design process as required
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience in managing Instrastructure Team and Engineering.
  • Knowledge of software development methods, design, and implementation
  • Expertise in languages, tools, and techniques used to implement quality software products
  • Strong experience in recruiting and team building
  • Strong communicator, and be comfortable communicating technically at both high and low levels.
  • Ability to create a collaborative and supportive culture
Desirable Requirements
  • Knowledgeable in a subset of the following physical infrastructure domains: Storage, network, compute, virtualization
  • Experience in IT infrastructure automation & Infrastructure as a Service
  • Experience of test driven development, software configuration management, automated testing, CI/CD
  • Business Acumen
  • Knowledge of large enterprise data center environments.
  • Past experience as IT administration or similar support role
  • Past experience in Engineering Team
  • Experience working with large enterprise customers.
  • Knowledgeable in Public & Private Cloud technologies and the Software Defined Datacenter
  • Knowledgeable in the VMware product portfolio (including vCenter, vSAN, NSX, vRealize etc.).
  • Knowledgeable in a subset of the following common software development tools, languages and design patterns
