Role Overview:As the Manager of Analytics and Data Science at Walmart Global Logistics, you will play a crucial role in leading the development and implementation of advanced analytics, AI, and data science solutions to enhance operational excellence and promote data-driven decision-making within the organization. Your responsibilities will include building scalable data architectures, ensuring robust data governance, and fostering an innovative and data-literate culture that supports predictive and prescriptive analytics.Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and implement AI-powered models and tools to transition the team from descriptive analytics to predictive and prescriptive insights.- Establish and maintain scalable data architectures and pipelines to facilitate the creation of robust and accessible data environments for advanced modeling.- Ensure consistent, organized, and user-friendly data by maintaining and refining the data blueprint across Global Logistics.- Uphold and advance data governance standards to enhance data completeness, accuracy, quality, security, and compliance.- Lead data integration efforts to optimize data usage between systems and teams.- Translate business requirements into actionable data needs and scalable solutions.- Provide clear insights connecting data to business impact for improved planning and decision-making.- Promote data literacy, self-service analytics, and GenAI-enabled insights throughout the organization.- Mentor team members to encourage innovation, continuous learning, and responsible AI adoption.- Track and report on key performance indicators to generate actionable recommendations and ensure compliance with data privacy and security requirements.Qualifications Required:- 3 to 5 years of Advanced proficiency in machine learning, statistical modeling, and AI tool development in data-rich environments.- Strong foundation in data engineering, including experience with data architecture, pipeline development, and data quality management.- Proficiency in SQL and BigQuery, with the ability to write queries and extract clear insights.- Experience with analytical tools such as Python (Pandas, NumPy), Power BI, Tableau, and other data visualization platforms.- Deep understanding of data stewardship, governance, and compliance with a focus on maintaining data integrity.- Strong problem-solving skills to translate complex business challenges into scalable solutions.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and drive cross-functional partnerships.- Passion for continuous learning, innovation, and the practical application of AI and analytics to deliver measurable business outcomes.Note: The above information provides a summary of the roles general nature and responsibilities.
