Responsible for managing an operations Derivatives team. The team manager is responsible for ensuring all derivative trading activities are efficiently supported and ensures seamless day-to-day processing. Provides support for more complex derivative products. Conducts performance management and career development processes, provides input for staffing and disciplinary actions and provides hands-on training to staff. 1. Maximize the team s operational efficiency by monitoring workflow distribution and managing the allocation of resources within the team 2. Ensure operational risk is inherently reduced and any potential risk situations are promptly identified and escalated3. Ensure derivative trading activities are efficiently supported and ensure seamless day-to-day processing4. Manage profit & loss reporting, price verification, and settlement and confirmation5. Assist staff with technical queries and provide coaching in the research and resolution of complex issues 6. Ensure a culture of continuous improvement exists throughout the team, encouraging staff to identify ways to improve straight-through processing and implement best market practice. Participate in system enhancement projects and oversee process improvement initiatives through to implementation.7. Operates independently; has in-depth knowledge of business unit / function8. As subject area expert, provides comprehensive, in-depth consulting and leadership to team and partners at a high technical level9. Carries out activities that are large in scope, cross-functional and technically difficult10. Role is balanced between high level operational execution and development, and execution of strategic direction of business function activities11. Conducts performance management and career development processes, provides input for staffing and disciplinary actions and provides hands-on training to staff12. Develops periodic goals, organizes the work, sets short-term priorities, monitors all activities, and ensures timely and accurate completion of the workA College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is requiredExtensive knowledge and experience in derivatives operations is required Excellent oral and written communication skills are requiredStrong leadership and organizational skills are required to develop periodic goals and to manage and motivate team members towards the goals setStrong knowledge in derivatives products Ability to lead and inspire a teamExcellent organisational skills with an ability to prioritise multiple deliverables and work with minimum supervision.,
