Job Description

    Job summaryAmazon is looking for a talented, smart and enthusiastic leader to lead supply planning, vendor capacity planning & management and In-Stock process management for its Softlines Private Brands (SPB). This In-Stock Operations Manager (SPB) will oversee the attainment of inventory plans from the supply side and will work closely with our Planning and Sourcing teams to manage smooth flow of inventory from our source base all the way to the Fulfillment Centers.At a strategic level, this role will involve working with Sourcing, Vendors and Planning to come up with solves to optimize inventory levels in all marketplaces, devising a medium term roadmap for supply optimization (speed, costs and capacities) and planning and implementing the In-Stock automation roadmap.The ability to work in a demanding but collegial, team oriented environment is necessary, and management experience is required. This role may include international travel.What makes this job awesome is the chance to be part of a new and rapidly scaling business within Amazon.     • Analyze, create demand, capacity and supply plans to support the development of production placement strategies-
    • Develop new tools/solutions and enhancements to existing tools in support of merchandise planning analytics and overall inventory management
    • Understand customer demand and vendor performance patterns to inform purchasing and shipment decisions
    • Serve as a subject-matter expert for business process improvements, inventory flow-forecasting activities
    • Project and report supply pipeline to the relevant stakeholders and maintain Purchase Order issuance hygiene
    ,
    • Bachelors degree or equivalent in business, engineering, science, arts or any other discipline
    • Highly analytical- capable of turning raw data into information and insights
    • Proficient in use of analytical tools including Microsoft Excel, SQL and statistical software
    • Proven track record of managing and executing large projects from start to finish, including project management, data gathering and modeling.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
    • Must possess excellent business judgment, and strong written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships
    • Masters degree or equivalent in business, science, engineering, arts or any other discipline
    • 7+ years experience in logistics/operations/supply chain/project management/production/ procurement
    • Experience in organizing, analyzing and presenting data
    • Excellent negotiation skills
    • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
    • Must possess or be eligible to obtain a passport and VISA for travel essentials of the Job
    • Ability to evaluate factory WIPs and plan the necessary interventions.
