Job Description

Position Summary: Lead, manage, develop and contribute to a team of technical specialists and outsourced contracts in order to securely deliver SAP Basis services globally, according to specifications agreed with Business, manufacturing and IT organizations. Provide high level support to end users to quickly identify and resolve key issues as well as focus on projects and Basis tasks that require an in depth knowledge of the SAP applications as well as the Ixos/OpenText and SAP DART applications. This position also provides training and support for Level 1 Basis Administrators. Manager SAP Basis & Enterprise System Administration encompasses, but is not limited to daily system checks, SAP Basis support, TMS / Realtech Transport Manager support, SAP printer support, SAP Archiving, SAP GUI support, Faxing (Topcall) and Ixos/OpenText support as well as system refresh support for multiple instances. In addition, the position requires an advanced IT knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (Microsoft Server 2003 and Microsoft SQL Server 2005) Terminal Services, and Microsoft Office Suite. This role also requires a knowledge of Enterprise class server hardware, SAN, backup- recovery packages (HP Dataprotector and Veritas) as well as knowledge of SAP database tools and database structure in general. In addition, knowledge of desktop hardware is a plus. A minimum of five years experience with SAP is required.

• Provide guidance and management to a team of SAP Basis and DBA administrators
• Provide day-to-day support for SAP systems, including but not limited to system monitoring, transport management, printer administration and SAP troubleshooting
• Installing and upgrading (support packs and enhancement packs) both ABAP and Java stacks
• Performance tuning and advanced troubleshooting
• Configuration of EarlyWatch Alerts and Technical monitoring in Solution Manager
• Create and maintain RFC connections, background jobs, logon groups, partner profiles, SAP licenses, developer and access keys, OSS IDs, profile parameters and SAP directories
• SAP system refresh, migration and client copy processes
• Supporting SAP NetWeaver ECC, BI, GRC and Solution Manager on a mixed database platform, Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle
• Integrate and support third party applications with SAP SAP Basis On-call rotation is required Manage operations review processes, maintaining service levels objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Track and communicate operational metrics (including trending over time) and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Proactively work with business and service providers to identify and resolve systemic process and/or service delivery issues within and affecting the SAP environment.
• Participate on teams focusing on improvement projects and transition activities.
• Facilitate collaboration with application architects, infrastructure engineers, systems administrators, and other technology specialists in project and strategy implementation.
• Influence and assist with the design, when appropriate, of new alternatives. Update Technical Reference models, ensure consistent use of technical architecture standards and lead complex problem resolution efforts.

• Manage and provide 24/7 reliable and responsive SAP Basis & Enterprise System Administration services across the global landscape of Momentive s Business operations.
• Interact with all IT teams to support them in their SAP Basis needs.
• Analyze performance of existing systems, processes, and people and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Continuously look for opportunities to make the processes more efficient.
