Responsibilities & Key DeliverablesResponsible:Leading a team of 2 to 4 engineers for Exteriors / Interiors for vehicle platform like 3W. Benchmarking, preparation of mechanical system and subsystems design concept prepartion for Exteriors & Interiors by doing trade-off in Styling, Structural design , packaging, integration. He should be proficient in making detailed design (2D and 3D CAD) by adhering to DQA (DCS, GD&T, DFMEA, DFMA, DFSS, DFS&R, DVP&R etc.), internal & external standards and customer requirements. He/she will be working for the following four major areas, 1. 3W and other other vehicle platforms like Quadricyle 2. Special projects like MESMA, Born EV , etc 3. Horizontal projects: Mechanical structure and enclosure design .Key Deliverables: > Detailed benchmarking for the given project scope, which can be predominantly Exteriors and Interiors. > Manage mechanical systems, subsystems and components level design requirements through cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders > Preparation of concepts and detail parametric design (parts and assemblies) in CATIA V5 > Evaluate, balance and trade-off the design concepts for the attributes such as Styling, Weight, Cost, DFA, DFS, Reliability and time line. > Interface and DMU analysis, generate a report and seamless coordination with internal and external stakeholders to resolve packaging and integration challenges > Preparation, review, control and monitor Design Quality Assurance (DQA) documents and its major elements such as Benchmarking, Design Concept Sheet (DCS), GD&T, DFMEA, DFMA, DFSS, DFS&R, DVP&R etc.Experience (years)10+ Industry Preferred Automotive QualificationBE/ME in Mechanical Engineering Competencies> Leading a team of 2 to 4 Engineers which will be responsible for Interiors / Exteriors for vehicle platform like 3W , Quadricycle, etc. > High proficiency in CATIA V5 , TC > Proficient in the Design of BIW & Trims. ( BIW being more critical) >Good knowledge of Materials , Manufacturing processes for BIW and Composite/ Plastic parts> High level of craftsmanship and attention to detail > The structured way of working, and good documentation skills for DQA. > Team work spirit, positive attitude and self-motivated > Experience ranging from Concept Design to production in BIW / Interiors > Proficient in parametric CAD modelling, CATIA V5 experience is mandatory > Proficient in PDM software specifically, Teamcenter > Very good knowledge on Engineering Materials & Manufacturing Processes specifically specifically for BIW & Trims > Good knowledge of Design Quality Assurance (DQA) and its major elements such as Benchmarking, Design Concept Sheet (DCS), GD&T, DFMEA, DFMA, DFSS, DFS&R, DVP&R etc. > Very well versed with Industrial Standards related to BIW / Interiors > Good knowledge of Quality Management Systems,
