Position Summary Achieve customer satisfaction through ensuring product deliveries at right cost, within agreed lead time & with normative inventory levelsDepartment : MPL (Material, Planning & logistics) Location : Bangalore, India Reports to : Plant Head No. of Reportees : 5- 7 Key role responsibilities As the leader of Material, Planning & Logistics- responsible for overall fulfillment of material to the shop floor to ensure timely deliveries of products & services to customer Responsible for having end to end control on customer deliverables customer PO to ensuring delivery as per contractual Incoterm Planning- lead the team of material & production planning, and direct responsibility of Master planning Material- Material planning execution- Mitigate any risk on vendor panel, allocate quantity to vendor panel based on their Quality- Lead time- Price matrixContinuous improvement of vendor panel, add or delete from existing panel Inventory control Material cost control- getting the material within the budget Outbound Logistics - Lead the team to ensure getting the products & services to our customer as per contractual obligations, with all necessary documentation done for enabling Accounts receivable team for payment collection.- Working relationship with freight forwarders & CHA- Develop online tracking of consignmentsInbound Logistics - Lead the team to ensure getting the components, sub- assemblies from our vendor (local/ import), with all necessary documentation and make necessary GRN- Develop online tracking of consignmentsThe role will also require to create the overview of all vendor payments and accounts reconciliation on a quarterly basis To ensure with the Supplier Quality Assurance function, reduce the effect of non- conforming supplier materials on the production area quality. To ensure KPIs are met by working to the overall plan Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures Education University Graduate Engineering (Mechanical) Experience - 12 to 20 Years experience Basic knowledge of mechanical design principals and mechanical manufacturing processes.
