Job Description

Supplier Diversity Job DescriptionDepartment/Function: Central Procurement OfficeReports to: Head of Risk and GovernanceAbout Wipro s Supplier Diversity Program:Wipro follows inclusive procurement strategy, and is committed to doing business with a diverse set of suppliers. We believe such a diverse supplier base encourages innovation, supports local entrepreneurship, creates an inclusive business environment and contributes to the overall well-being of the society.We have embarked on the supplier diversity journey in order to accomplish the above mentioned objective, hence enhance the overall business opportunities and be a preferred supplier in the market.Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop a framework for Geo specific supplier diversity program (Country Specific)
  • Devise procedures and standards to validate diversity spend in alignment with compliance requirements;
  • Manage the entire diverse suppliers database and build trust-based relationships and act as single point of contact;
  • Promote Wipro s supplier diversity program by educating the suppliers and nudge them to stay aligned;
  • Respond to RFPs effectively and provide diversity spend data in accordance with Wipro s policies;
  • Communicate and influence about supplier diversity program to internal stakeholders;
  • Conduct Audits with the vendors on Diversity documentation
  • Organise Trainings to the vendors (Sub contracting partners)
  • Participate in supplier diversity seminars/webinars to learn about benchmarking practices.
  • Publish Diversity update
Desired skills and competencies:
  1. Understanding the dynamics of diversity areas such as women, LGBT, people with disabilities and other applicable types.
  2. Exposure to supplier diversity program in large corporate setting.
  3. Technical knowledge about the subject including tier1, tier2 and tier3 suppliers.
  4. Knowledge about statutory compliance and diversity certifications applicable in the market.
  5. Hands on experience about working on computers / Microsoft products.
  6. Network and ability to influence the key stakeholders.
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Urge to learn and develop a holistic program with minimal guidance
  9. Qualification can be a Graduate/MBA
