Job Description

About the JobWe are looking for a creative visionary who seeks and finds inspiration in unexpected places. A successful VM Manager will be both dreamer and doer. Our ideal candidate will find magic in our diverse mix of merchandise hard and soft, prints and solids, old and new and use instinct, strategy and creativity to elevate the store environment across all our stores. In this role, you re charged not only with crafting a beautiful space, but also ensuring that the presentation creates a wow factor, captures our brand beautifully, keeps our customers highly engaged, and drives sales. He / she will also ensure that this great visual experience in consistently maintained across all our stores across India.Role & Responsibilities

  • Creative development on seasonal visual merchandising package for window and in-store at retail channel
  • Ensure consistent brand image through effective visual merchandising in regards to the guidelines, down into execution at market level
  • Will be a key member for all store openings, will have to work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Manage a small team of Visual Merchandisers in other regions. Will be responsible for ensuring the look and upkeep of the stores across regions is consistent with the VM look for the season / occasion.
  • To be the key channel of all VM issues between region and head office
  • Continually generate fresh ideas in both merchandising and display using varied materials, while retaining a collaborative and flexible mindset.
  • To be a key team player, working closely with Sales Team, Merchandising Team, Marketing Team and Planning Team to maximize market opportunity and business performance.
  • Provide VM training on a regular basis to regional VMs as well as store staff to ensure that VM standards are being maintained and updated regularly
  • Travel regularly for market-visits
Desired Experience and SkillsEducation : Degree holder in Visual Merchandising or design related discipline Years of Experience : 5-8 yearsShould have :
  • Creative, with strong visual sense, with a good eye for composition and be able to develop and put up a full visual package and guidelines
  • Visual merchandising experience in an apparel and/or home and accessories environment
  • Proven team management skills to ensure that the regional VM are following the plan, train them as per Chumbak guidelines, ensure that they highlight issues and get them rectified.
  • Should have significantly contributed in new store openings from a VM and projects point of view.
  • A close familiarity with our customer and brand, with a sense of who we are, and what our customer comes to us to find
  • Awareness of current fashion and home decor trends
  • Sophisticated merchandising and outfitting skills
  • Good planning, organization, and communication skills to manage and complete projects on schedule
  • Willingness to go above and beyond when needed
  • Excellent interpersonal skill and presentation skill, with passion in design and fashion
  • Proficient in AI or InDesign, and Photoshop. Competent in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Flexibility and positive reaction to change.
