Job Description

Description:Applied Materials Image Processing SW Group leads the software development of image processing systems, which are integrated in a wide range of products. Image processing systems capture the images from high speed scanning systems and perform complex image processing algorithms to detect defects on memories and processors chips. These distributed systems consist of many computers and multiprocessors and the processing is done in parallel in order to speed up the calculations.The group is looking for individual contributor who can be part of the team that develops the optimized (throughput and memory wise) image processing algorithms for a leading product of the company. The team develops efficient, fast and qualified SW and works closely with algorithm engineers during the process. The role includes active code development and working closely with various interfaces.Responsibilities:

  • Design new image processing algorithms using MATLAB/ PYTHON
  • Implement optimized image processing algorithms using MATLAB/PYTHON
  • Code re-factoring and code optimizations
  • SW development adhering to organized SW development process in Agile methodology
Job requirements:
  • 6-8 yrs of experience with MTech or phd in Electronics / Computer Science with experience in Algorithm design of Image processing / Signal processing
  • Image processing using MATLAB /OpenCV- transformation, enhancement, histogram processing, noise reduction, Fourier transform
  • Python libraries- Sklearn, OpenCV, pandas, SciPy, NumPy, Matplotlib, CNTK
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills
  • Basic machine learning and deep learning knowledge
Desired Skills:
  • Familiarity with image processing libraries like IPP would be an advantage
  • Experience in multi processors systems
  • Experience in system programming such as calibration, hardware monitoring, etc.
Experience in development under Windows, Linux/UnixFunctional Knowledge
  • Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines
