Job Description

Position: Mechanical Technical Lead Engineer(Specialization in Electro Mechanical / Power box design)Eligibility Criteria:

  • Educational Qualification: B.E/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech (Mechanical)
  • Years of experience: Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop and implement cost-effective solution for power distribution systems and power boxes
  • Selection of OEM components and materials for power boxes
  • Create and release engineering drawings & bill of materials using Engineering Change Management process
  • Interact with PG counterpart in US
  • Study and recommend corrective solutions for Problem Reports of varying complexities.
  • Provide immediate response and timely resolution to design related production issues encountered during the build process
  • Conduct Design review to get buy-in from all cross functional teams
Mandatory Skills required to perform the job:
  • Strong fundamentals of Mechanical design and ability to apply the learnings on real time problems across industry domains.
  • Proficiency in designing medium complex sheet metal and machining components, structure and release of manufacturing drawings
  • Proficiency in Thermal hand calculations or structural simulations (Conduction, Convection, Heat dissipation and increase in temperature) to facilitate selection of heat sinks, Cooling systems like Fans etc.
  • Proficiency in design of Power box / control panels /electro mechanical boxes with in depth experience on Mechanical aspects of design or similar experience on design of Special purpose machines.
  • Excellent exposure on mechanical OEM components selection based on first principles
  • Proficient in 3D Modelling, Assembly and Detailing using Nx or any CAD packages & PLM, PDM
Desirable Skill:
  • Basic knowledge on analysis software like Nx-Nastran to validate the design
  • Knowledge in Engineering Change Management Process
  • Exposure to Value Engineering would be an advantage
  • Exposure to knowledge on electrical schematics and high voltage electrical components
  • Awareness on EMC & EMI requirements
  • Knowledge of DFX
