Job Description

Customers are looking to deploy and manage workloads in a multi-cloud environment - across public cloud services such as AWS, Azure, GCP and private cloud infrastructure stacks built on Nutanix or other legacy solutions. Nutanix Move is looking to solve this hybrid cloud mobility challenge by enabling Applications to seamlessly move workloads from one cloud provider to another.

We are looking to add a world-class SDET to the team who can wear multiple hats - awesome automation, great functional QA skills and dangerous enough to dabble with system testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting requirements and design reviews of new features for Move
  • Designing high level test plans and strategies for a distributed cloud environment
  • Flag bearer of automation firststrategy and ensuring test suite is up-to-date.
  • Building utilities and libraries to help with writing test suites for functional qualification and regression testing
  • Debugging customer reported issues and adding relevant tests in the automated suite.
  • Ensuring that incoming rate is reduced significantly by identifying the issues in testing phase
  • Working closely with development engineers to analyse and find root cause of failures
  • Mentoring junior engineers

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of storage/virtualization and/or Cloud infrastructure solutions
  • Experience in test plan design and test case development for complex software projects
  • Strong test automation skills - preferably a Python whizard!
  • Experience in systems testing, including longevity, performance and stress testing
  • Strong systems administration experience in Linux/windows
  • Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
  • Worked with fast paced teams

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of total experience
  • Graduation/PG in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience software development or test automation in one of the following languages: Python/C/C /Java (Python preferred)
