Job Description

As a Quality Assurance Engineer in the Nutanix SaaS EngineeringTeam, you will have a unique opportunity to own the overall quality of its products. You will work with the developers to define and create test plans, write automated test cases, and manually test the products to ensure high quality in an agile, fast paced development environment. As part of the engineering team, you willenable automated releasesofour software using Continuous Delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Validate functional requirements for n-tier applications comprising of responsive, browser-based UI, backend services and data stores deployed in on-premise managed clusters as well as cloud platforms
  • Write automated test cases using Python, Selenium/ Puppeteer and Jenkins
  • Collaborate with product management team to translate requirements into high-quality test plans and test cases
  • Help develop clean, stable, bug-free code using the best-of-breed practices and processes such as iterative development, continuous delivery and release management
Skills Required
  • Understanding of web technologies (HTTP/S, HTML, JavaScript, XML, JSON)
  • Expertise in developing automated tests using tools like Selenium/ Puppeteer, Python, Jenkins and Maven
  • Expertise with testing frameworks such as PyTest, PyUnit, Jasmine or Mocha
  • Ability to identify and leverage automation tools best suited for testing needs
  • Experience with automated testing of RESTful web services
  • Develop test strategy, write test plans and detailed test cases
  • Strong knowledge of testing principles, process and authoring of test documents
  • Ability to develop clean, maintainable automated tests for UI backend components
  • Passion and ownership of quality of the applications owned by the team
  • Ability to develop strong domain knowledge and aid product level decisions making
Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of experience testing hosted or standalone multi-tenant web applications.
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
