Job Description

Role Summary

Software Development Engineer: Plans, designs, develops and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own one or more sub-system/module of the solution under development
  • Work closely with System engineers, Validation and Operation teams for quality, on time delivery of agreed deliverables.
  • Help train and mentor junior team members
  • Adhere to company policies and quality standards
  • Promptly escalate issues, which affect product delivery and quality that are beyond scope of influence and report same to reporting manager
  • Pay high attention to detail in all work

Job Requirements

  • 3 to 8 yrs of experience in developing highly-available, carrier-class network solutions
  • Hands-on experience with distributed and scalable telecom solutions and platforms ( ATCA, Cloud)
  • Preferred experience with IMS architectures
  • Experience developing and integrating IMS components
  • Strong knowledge of IP-based protocols - TPC/IP, UDP, DNS, RTP
  • Experience with Web based protocol like HTTP, REST, SOAP, WebSockets is a definite plus
  • Must have strong C and C++ programming skills on Linux/Unix developing multi-threaded applications.
  • Experience with SCXML / CCXML based application development is a plus
  • Working knowledge of MySQL and other relational database
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous priorities
  • Ability to perform under aggressive deadlines and work effectively as part of a geographically-distributed team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear and comprehensive architectural and design specifications
  • Preferred experience in leading and working with teams in a multi-site environment
  • Must have BE/BTech, MTech ( Computer Science, EE ) or MCA Degree
