Job Description

The SaaS Application Security team is responsible for the security of core platform that users and applications interact with. It is written primarily in RoR - but also includes an increasing number of services developed in NodeJs, EmberJs, Python etc. As a part of this team you will be responsible for driving initiatives related to platform security, improving existing functionalities for security vulnerabilities and working with infra teams for required security related system upgrades. You will be driving risk assessment of security vulnerabilities identified as part of security scans and taking required actions to address them in a timely manner. You will be building required automation tools to proactively avoid security gaps in application. You will also be responsible for driving best practices around security considerations across multiple teams. We are also young as a SaaS platform and have a number of scaling challenges to solve. As part of the team you will be heavily involved in operational aspects of the software for our SaaS deployment and shipping this software for deployments inside large enterprises.You should be ready to solve really challenging real life design and scalability problems every day.What youll be doing

  • Build high-quality features that are scalable, high performance and extensible
  • Write high-quality code covering all possible user scenarios to ensure lesser bugs
  • Acquire deep understanding of different parts of application
  • Work with a variety of teams to do security architecture reviews, assist in secure coding practice training
  • Improve existing code to make more secure and efficient
  • Be a part of technical roadmap discussions to be aligned with team and company goals
  • Be an innovator: explore new technologies and ideas
Required experiences and skills
  • Degree in computer science equivalent to BTech from top institutes like IITs/IIITs/BITS
  • Has a proven track record of educational excellence
  • Excellent understanding of data structures, algorithms, OOPS concepts, design patterns
  • Help the organization evolve its application security functions and services
  • Responsible for upholding code reviews across all code platforms
  • Take charge of security bug intake and remediation process for the organization
  • SANS GIAC, GSEC, CEH, OSCP, AWAE/OSWE, CISSP, GISP or other similar application security certifications are preferred
  • Experience with SAST, DAST, and Pentesting tools like Burp.
  • Deep understanding of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, and other vulnerability schemes like WASC, SANS, etc.
  • Good knowledge of OLTP database design concepts and RDBMS internals (Mysql is preferred)
  • Full stack development experience developing complex web applications in modern frameworks like RoR, Python/Django, PhP, Java etc.
  • Experience designing and implementing web services APIs
  • Excellent teamwork skills, flexibility and ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to work in agile development model with cross-team involvement
