Software Engineering Manager Merchandising Merchandising Software Engineering Manager will be responsible for participating in the management of the design , development , and maintenance of the micro service and applications for Lowe s Merchandise solutions. Lowe s is seeking a bright , results - driven engineering manager Merchandising to join the Merchandising Technology team. The individual will lead a high performing team and will be responsible for mentoring , reviewing and managing the teams focused on key products including Reset Planning & Execution , Product Location & Performance as well as Global Sourcing. As a leader of the Merchandise engineering team , you will create impact by developing cutting edge technology to develop new solutions from scratch in Micro Services architecture and latest technologies. Requires strong working knowledge of Software Development preferably with Microservices architecture. Strong technical knowledge of Retail Domain especially in the Space Planning & Optimization areas. Strong knowledge of Microservices architecture. Meets with Stake Holders , architects and Product Managers to determine product scope and vision , set goals , identify and resolve system issues Ensure the system is implemented as designed and in adherence to the implementation guidelines. Partners with the Product Managers to review and refine business requirements into core system capabilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Manages 2 - 3 talented product teams comprised of 20 team members and guides and mentors them for superior performance and career development POSITION REQUIREMENTS 4 - year college degree in Computer Science or related fields. 8 - 12 years diversified information technology experience. 5 - 8 years Software Engineering experience 3 years total experience building Microservices in Retail domain Solid understanding of Retail Solid understanding of Microservices development and technologies like SpringBoot , Nodejs , NOSQL Databases (MongoDB , Cassandra , Redis) Good experience of UI development and technologies like Angular 6 years of experience working with product teams in an Agile environment Must be able to multi - task and set priorities Must be able to lead and mentor new team members and develop their skillsets Must be able to lead product teams , including assigning tasks and tracking progress Must be able to manage working on an effort that involves collaboration across global teams Must have experience in a collaborative , multi - disciplined team environment Must have strong technical , analytical , interpersonal communication and writing skills,
