This position is setting up the injection molding machines and operating them to produce plastic parts to be used in medical devices. 1. Should be able to load the molds and set up the molding machine independently 2. Plan the day s production activities based on the supervisor s instructions 3. Collect data sheet, machine instructions and work manuals 4. Ensure availability of consumables and materials for production 5. Collect the pre-heated pellets and raw material in granular form 6. Add the raw material in the machine using material loader or by manual feeding 7. Add masterbatch and regrind raw material as per standard composition and mix it well 8. Run the machine and visually inspect sample manufactured comparing to master sample or first part approved sample kept on operating table 9. Count rejections and accepted products during every operating hour 10. Do all necessary post molding operation during the cycle time run such as. trimming, apply protective tapes, putting labels on each product for identification 11. Clean and maintain the machine at regular intervals as per maintenance schedule 12. Interact with the supervisor in order to understand the production schedule 13. Prepare ISO documentation 14. Good knowledge on GMP Technical/Functional Skill Sets Should be able to read warnings, instructions and other text material on product labels, components etc. Should be able to enter into the history card details of the fault identified in the plastic product manufactured Should be able to set up and operate run injection molding machines, gauges, knives, mixing machines etc. Personal Qualities/Characteristics required for the position Attention to detail Root cause analysis,
