MS SQL Server DB Dev - Specialist, T- SQL Banking / Financial Services / Broking Bengaluru, Karnataka, India 8- 12 Years Teamware- Solutions Career Page Job Overview SQL Server Development Enhances performance of current application as per the user stories keeping overall product quality, requirements and user experience. Directs the development team in optimizing , testing and debugging of database stored procedures. He/ she is proficient in T- SQL stored procedures tuning, indexing, best practices inSQL development required to independently work on modules. He/ she is an expert in SQL Server query execution plan analysis, in concurency (isolation levels, locking models), has good understanding of database statistics and how they influence query execution performance and is able to use system DMVs in order to diagnose performance issues. Understands SQL server advanced configuration topics like filegroups and partitioning. Has proven experience in using administration, profiling and monitoring tools for MS SQL Server. He/ she is good at estimating the tasks and helps the team arrive at the estimation fairly. Over time shows improved trend of estimation accuracy and maturity. Ability to control overall quality assurance expected by the business for sprint delivered. He works and shows continous improvement on defect KPI defined for the delivered product evolution . Qualifications - 8+ years experience in software and/ or database development - 5+ years experience with MS SQL Server Database Development - 5+ years developing stored procedures, triggers, tables, views, indexes and trouble shooting SQL scripts 1+ years experience MS SQL Server Database Administration SQL development ability to write and troubleshoot SQL code and develop stored procedures, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes and constraints. Experience in performance tuning, query optimization using Execution Plans, IO Statistics, database statistics and tools like SSMS, Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler, Session Events or other related tools Professional knowledge at least two of the following SQL Server tools (Profiler, DTA, SSMS, SAC, SSCM, PerfMon, etc) Preferred Qualifications: - 3+ years experience MS SQL Server Database Development Tech Lead - Experience with low level performance diagnostic tools like sqlio - Experience with AppDynamics - Experience with SentryOne - Experience with table partitioning Collaboration and Communication Influence Architects, Consultants and Principal engineers on strategy and technical performance roadmap of the application. Provide feedback , status and updates to PM, Project Leads with necessary details on work in progress. Ability to give enough status input to them on topics of development, risks, timelines, schedules , escalation and matters of urgentmanagement attention. Ability to share knowledge and coach other team members is essential Problem solving Able to provide the necessary expertise to efficiently resolve complex optimization problems and guide the team members at expected speed. Domain Develop techno- functional understanding of all modules within application. Efficiency Key contributions to technical leads for defining the optimization goals.
