Our team is dedicated to qualifying and deploying BIOS, supporting to tackle BIOS-related issues, and building the groundbreaking products that seek tomorrow s challenges in today s data-driven world.The Person:A successful candidate will employ proven solid BIOS technical knowledge, strong multi-functional communication, and well-honed organizational skills with logical thinking to ensure on-schedule, defect-free customer BIOS solutions. A candidate must be self-motivated and possess the technical proficiency and interpersonal confidence to represent verification ideas technically clearly.A self-starter with the ability to create & execute complex test plans independently and collaborate with others to resolve problems found. • Drive the planning, validation, and debug of various hardware and software components of SoC for upcoming AMD products, while working with software team and other validation team members
• Define and execute end-to-end test plan and validation strategy
• Lead collaborative test approach with multiple teams, and tracking test execution to make sure all features are validated and optimized on time
• Develop knowledge of system architecture, technical debug, and validation strategy
• Drive technical innovation to enhance AMD s capabilities in software validation including tools and script development, technical and procedural methodology enhancement, and various internal and cross-functional technical initiatives.
• Understand HW IP components and their corresponding Firmware details
• Craft and develop use-cases based on the BIOS/FW requirement and then map use-cases to executable test cases
• Software testing creation & execution, debugging and detailed & timely reporting
• Maintain BIOS Verification test database.
• Investigate project roadmaps and product technical documentation to understand software impact. Translate these requirements/impacts into executable task plans.
• Accountable timely test result.
• Interface with management and off-site teams to co-develop the complete product validation solution.

Preferred Experience:

• Preferred 12+ years of commercial software test experience required.
• Experience with x86 assembly, UEFI, BIOS, firmware, and system software verification
• Experience in key IP components such as security, power management, IO interfaces, and memory (not limited to DRAM architecture, PCIE, ACPI, SATA, USB, multiprocessor systems, power management and system management)
• Experienced in crafting test plans & coverage
• Familiar with at least one BIOS base (AMI, Insyde, or Phoenix BIOS)
• Knowledge of low-level protocols including I2C, I3C, SPI, eSPI, UART is expected
• In-depth knowledge of BIOS and BIOS debug tools is a huge plus.
• Hardware knowledge desirable
• Shell or Phyton scripting skill is an added advantage
• Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
• Ability to work optimally within a highly collaborative environment with colleagues around the world.
• Self-Motivated with strong passion for learning.

Academic Credentials:

• Bachelors/master s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred.
