Expert level multi- vendor experience with Juniper, Cisco, Fortigate security, routing and switching at large scale Debugging Knowledge : Packet captures, trace options, tcp dump, debug logs. Loadbalancing experience, understanding of algorithms, connection pooling , L7- L4 load balancing. Expert level understanding of deployment mechanisms viz cluster, stacking, vrrp, etc. ana HA best practices. Expert level understanding of packet flow, routing, switching, load balancing, IPSEC vpns, vlans, rstp, lacp, bgp, syslog, snmp, jflow, sflow Expert- level understanding of TCP/ IP, IPv4 and other Layer 4- 7 protocol such as HTTP, SSL, DNS, etc. Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to quickly triage problems, determine root cause and drive resolution Manage and monitor DDoS detection tools and respond to incidents Advanced knowledge of ISP networking including security, BGP routing, and redundancy. Excellent time management and communication skills Network documentation, diagram skills. TAC engagement experience. Datacenter network wiring, racks, design, deployment experience. Vendor Interaction experience. Network Auditing and Maintenance. Network Monitoring experience. Experience with Linux monitoring tools like cacti, zenoss, smokeping, rancid. High level of ownership.
