Job Description

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • CCIE/CCDE/JNCIE network certifications or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with large enterprise network design and operations in a global environment.
  • Experience working in a multi-vendor environment.

Preferred qualifications:

  • VMware network certifications (VCP-NV / VCIX-NV / VCDX-NV).
  • Knowledge of the IS-IS, VXLAN, BGP, EVPN, and Network Virtualization technologies/protocols.
  • Extensive knowledge of VPN technologies (Palo Alto, VyOS, pfSense, Cisco ASR).
  • Practical knowledge of Python or Go.
  • Knowledge of Linux networking functionalities.
Responsibilities
  • Scale systems sustainably through tools and automation, and evolve systems by driving change that improves reliability and velocity.
  • Work with other teams to analyze requirements or potential problems and proactively develop solutions and policy recommendations.
  • Participate in rotating on call schedule with other members of the team, including during weekends.
  • Work to resolve internal network service issues in VMware Engine.
