Job Description

  • Provide Maintenance, Operational and Administrational support of Palo Alto NGFW/ Panorama appliances. Administration support will be primarily be at the Security layers of the appliance.
  • Data Knowledge of Palo Alto command line.
  • Thorough knowledge of Panorama, WildFire, Threat Prevention, and other Palo Alto features including and not limited to SSL decryption, Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware, IPS, Vulnerability, DNS Sinkhole, External Dynamic IP Block Lists, and File Blocking.
  • Palo Alto NGFW tuning experience
  • Palo Alto Networks XML API integration experience
  • Experience in usage of cURL command or API tools like Postmaster or REST client to make API requests.
  • Configure, deploy, monitor, and resolve the Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) of Palo Alto to work smoothly in a completely secured framework.
  • Work with the different teams, such as systems administrators, and application owners of business units, to come up with IT solutions to tackle threats to their business.
  • Need to have expertise in Access Control, SSL Inspection, TCPIP, Policy Management.
  • Analyze logs and events from the solution and provide threat analysis reports.
  • Build custom security policies and applying pre-templated application signatures
  • Experience in managing Proxy, Content and URL filtering solutions and technologies.
  • Extensive knowledge of different security threats.
  • Strong understanding of core Internet protocols and applications.
  • Strong TCP/IP networking skills.
  • Mitigate web-based threats in a timely manner.
  • Maintain the Palo Alto Networks solution uptime/availability and provide guidance on architecture changes, upgrades, fixes etc.
  • Experience in managing IDS/IPS solutions and technologies.
  • Experience in managing security solutions in large environments.
  • Extensive background in internetworking, LAN, and WAN technologies required.
  • Experience with Wireshark or other protocol analyzers.
  • Experience of the Python programming /Ansible language (Required for automation).

Qualification:

  • Bachelor s degree in related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Minimum of eight years of experience in Network Security Infrastructure support.
  • Minimum five years of relevant experience in following technologies.
  • Palo Alto Next Generation Firewall Panorama. Palo Alto IPS/IDS Palo Alto URL Filtering/ Proxy.
  • Minimum two years of experience as technical lead, leading a team that provides operation support.
  • Experience of Python Programming/Ansible Language.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skill and be able to appropriately present highly technical material to both technical and non-technical audience.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize the work.

Desired (Not Mandatory)

  • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer 7-8 (PCNSE7-8) certification preferred.
