Job Description

Are you interested in learning about Networking Protocols & Peering Are you excited by the opportunity to optimize the CDN platform with best available performance Join our Networks Partner Services TeamThe primary responsibility of The Network Partner Services Group is to ensure continued successful relationships with 1000+ Akamai Accelerated Network Partners (AANPs) and other Internet Service Providers (ISPs) with whom Akamai deploys equipment. In addition, the team works in cooperation with internal stakeholders & Network Providers ensuring their willingness to scale with us to meet capacity targets. This Group includes Network Engagement & Network Support Consultants.Partner with the bestThe Network Support Consultant proactively monitors the Technical Operations of the Akamais Network within EMEA territory to ensure that we are utilizing our resources to their fullest extent in order to meet customer requirements so traffic keep flowing and ensure value for our Network Partners in the geographyAs a Network Support Consultant, you will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, Akamais Network Partners and ISPs to troubleshoot and resolve network and performance issues
  • Managing escalations from Service Performance, Network Account Managers, Network Operations and other groups
  • Collaborating with team members and network architects on traffic optimization to identify enhancements and improvements
  • Serving as Network Support Group point person for the Latin America territory, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of Internet infrastructure across the region

  • Demonstrate knowledge of network protocols and implementations (DNS, TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, SSL), routing protocols (BGP and OSPF) and application-level protocols
  • Be comfortable with working in a Linux/Unix-like environment
  • Be action-orientated and be able to identify areas for innovation and improvement
  • Be CCNP or equivalent experience
