Network Engineer will part of global execution team responsible for managing the, deployment, operation and decommissioning of the Global IP Backbone, Data Centers, Global Corporate Network, Global VPN Systems, Firewalls environment, WiFI Network, Metro Area SONET Networks, Server Subnets, Management Networks and High Availability Protocols, Dynamic Network Protocols. Follow established network policies and procedures, implementations, upgrades, patches, installation of new applications and equipment, and ticket resolution. Continually assesses network configurations for conciseness, efficiency, and ease of maintenance. Produce Method of Procedures that demonstrate understanding of changes proposed and how the change will be executed with minimal service impact. Follow global change management procedures and best practices. Maintains lifecycle management for the network security production environment (installation, upgrades, patches, decommissioning, etc.) Deploy and upgrade new and existing corporate and public LANs and WANs, Develop documentation/Run Books on new Deployments and modification in existing Network. Follow global change management procedures and best practices for implementation. Engineer should have a working knowledge of industry wide best practices. Change management, Incident management, Release management. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external technical, business, and support groups, including vendor/partner relationships. Document and maintain accuracy of standard operating procedures and best practices for areas of responsibility. SKILL / EXPERIENCE MANDATORY PLATFORMS: Cisco Nexus 3k, 7k and 9k series switches & routers Cisco ASR /ISR Routers (Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS, IOS-XR) Cisco WAN switching platform knowledge is a plus. Experience/Skills: Extensive knowledge of networking technologies, topologies, and protocols. (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF & RIP, SNMP, Multicast, STP, HSRP, switching technologies, VLANs, Firewalls, Carrier Circuits, E1, SDH, Ethernet) Extensive technical experience using many of the following: Cisco Routers & Switches, Nexus, ASR, ISR product lines, Cisco IOS, NX-OS, Juniper and Netscreen firewalls, GRE/IPSec Extensive hands-on experience in implementing, operating and troubleshooting large IP-based Data networks (LAN/WAN/MAN), preferably with some exposure to the Financial Sector. Skills: . PREFERRED CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, JNCIE, JNCIP or equivalent Basic business knowledge of financial institutions preferred.
