Built on more than 60 years of combined experience and expertise, the company has over 29,000 employees in more than 30 countries and posted revenue of $8.88 billion in 2019.DescriptionThe firmware project lead drives firmware team developing and validating NFC firmwareShe/He drives the software development and validation of his team to maximize team efficiency and project throughput.She/He drives, with team experts, the technical evolutions of the NFC firmware stacks to match customers requirements and ecosystem changes such as standards evolutions or new version of operating systems.She/He is fully customer focused, capable to engage his team to ensure highest customer satisfaction.She/he is ensuring predictable and reliable projects execution with sensitivity to the quality, timelines of the software releases.She/he personally drives 1 or 2 NFC firmware development projectsShe/He is passionate about mobile wireless technology and more generally about technological challenges, transmitting his passion to the teamShe/He has experience of managing team either thru hierarchical or thru project reportShe/He actively grows his team members on technical and behavioral axes to reach expertise and excellenceShe/He is very sensitive to company business targets and capable to articulate the goals of his team in this perspectiveKey Areas of Responsibility

  • Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the people, resources and processes required to deliver new NFC firmware or upgrade existing NFC firmware products.
  • Responsible for execution of firmware project (development and validation)per product roadmap (specification, quality, time, money, information, and organization) within approved budget.
  • Responsible for negotiating with product line and other stakeholders the scope, the resource allocation and the budget of each project per his team capacities
  • Responsible for improving and optimizing software development processes to overperform competition benchmarks in quality, effectiveness, patents issued, reactivity, etc.
  • Will be supported by technical architect and validation lead for achieving his goals with a team of 2-10 engineers.
  • Skills
  • Strong background in embedded systems programming
  • Expertise in most popular embedded software programming Languages such as C, C, Java, assembler
  • Good knowledge of embedded operating systems such as VxWorks, FreeRTOS, Embedded Linuw, etc
  • Successful experience in projects management
  • Familiar with wireless technologies similar to NFC, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi.
  • Strong communication skills, to convey crisp messages to his team and to report synthetically to management
  • Knowledge of common test benches software programming languages such as Python, Perl, Tcl,
  • Knowledge in popular SW development methodologies: Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall,
  • Knowledge on SW project management methodologies (PMP, PRINCE 2, )
  • Knowledge on Software Quality (Coverity, QAC, etc)
  • NFC standard: ISO14443, ISO18092, NFC Forum activity, digital
  • Smart card standards: ISO7816, Java Card, Open Platform,Languages: Professional proficiency English and French
