NETWORK INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES BUSINESS UNIT NSP INTEGRATION SPECIALIST - PACKET CORENokia is a global leader in the technologies that connect people and things. With state-of-the-art software, hardware and services for any type of network, Nokia is uniquely positioned to help communication service providers, governments, and large enterprises deliver on the promise of 5G, the Cloud and the Internet of Things.The Network Management Engineering (NME) team provide Professional Services in support of real-world deployments of Advanced Solutions across the Network Infrastructure (NI) Business Line product portfolio.POSITION DESCRIPTION The team is seeking a highly skilled Network Services Platform (NSP) Integration Specialist to provide professional services to Nokia s Customers. We are hiring an NSP Integration Specialist to focus on activities related specifically to the management and performance of 4G and 5G Packet Core products. The candidate in this role will be required to work in a consultative manner directly with Customers, Project Managers, Sales Engineers to deliver services which include the following responsibilities:

  • Provide expert consultation services for NSP deployments on bare metal and virtual environments
  • Capture customer and project requirements to create Network Management/OSS design documents
  • Author customized installation, upgrade, migration, and operational documentation as required for the customer project
  • Validation of installation, upgrade or migration strategy by staging and demonstrating the procedure in labs and/or customer site
  • Determine and execute the acceptance test strategy b
  • Troubleshoot and problem-solve project issues, working closely with the customer and engineering teams to resolve issues
  • Provide consultation workshops to Customers to enhance the understanding and experience from the product
  • Work closely with the extended global team and with Product Line Management to enhance professional services delivery and customer experience
  • Provide support to global services tendering teams on evaluating professional services requests
  • The work can frequently be at customer premises for short durations of time (1 week typical), travel is a requirement for this position
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Hands-on experience on Linux, RHEL, CentOS
  • Knowledge of Software Defined Networking & Network Function Virtualization concepts
  • Cloud Computing concepts and platforms such as OpenStack or VmWare
  • Container management and orchestration with Kubernetes and Docker
  • Knowledge of ETSI MANO Architecture, 4G and 5G packet core elements
  • Experience with Network Management & API concepts and protocols such as NETCONF, YANG, OpenFlow, SNMP, REST, XMPP, JMS
  • Working knowledge of IP Networking, Routing protocols (e.g. BGP, EVPNs, MPLS)
  • Experience in Consulting and providing professional services directly to external Customers
  • Multi-vendor OSS integration experience
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
