Job Description

We re seeking a highly motivated individual that can be an IoT Subject Matter Expert in Nokia Software s Applicationsand Services team. The ideal person will meet most of the requirements and be able to grow their knowledge andexperience quickly in this rapidly expanding field. This individual will ensure customer success through innovativeproblem solving and technical design that encompasses solution components from end to end. They will work withSales, customers and the Product teams to define requirements and estimates then create the design and guide theServices team to implement the solutions. This is a hands-on role.Key Responsibilities / Functions:- Remains current in IoT and relevant deployment technologies to enable the best architectural definition- Engages with customer to understand requirements and provide technical guidance to formulate the solutionarchitecture.- Delivers end to end architectural design, requirements and detailed design- Is the primary resource for scoping Service effort and making technical contributions for Technical Solution Descriptionsand Statements of Work- Provides architectural guidance to and, at times, leads the project teams to install, configure and customize solutions- Delivers Professional Services to sound technical, business and professional standards while ensuring strong customersatisfaction and success.- Ensures technology solutions comply with architectural standards- Troubleshoots issues that fall between the normal boundaries of solution components.- Protects and furthers the Nokia s excellent service reputation.- When required, participates in and may do software development- Researches and follows up on technical issues related to projects; informs, communicates and shares issue analysis andprogress with colleagues- Provides technical subject matter expertise in the IOT space- Is an early-adopter for new technologies and methods when they then share with other team members through trainingand coaching10+ years of software consulting experience (implementing enterprise software solutions for customers) including direct customer contact, systems engineering, product deployment, QA, architecture.5+ years of experience defining solutions and architecture in domains belowPrior experience as a software developer required- Experience in the following domains:- Device Management protocols (TR-069, OMA-DM) - desired- IoT devices including protocols such as LwM2M, LoRA, MQTT, CoAP, UDP, M-Bus - desired- SMPP- Virtual environments: OpenStack, VMWare, AWS- Containerization, Docker, Kubernetes - desired- Database technologies: Oracle, MariaDB, Cassandra, MySQL. Good knowledge of database design and schemas.SQL programming is desire.- Data and analytics: Spark, Kafka desired, Hadoop- Knowledge of networking topology, architecture, integration needs for various services, TCP/IP/UDP/SSL/HTTPprotocols, routing, network configuration and components, mobile messaging services (Short message, broadcast), cloudbasednotification services (APNS, GCM)- Software development: Web Services, REST, JSON, XML, XSLT, Node-Red, Microservices- High Availability and Geo-Redundancy including HA Proxy- J2EE (Java, JSP, Servlets)- JBoss Application Server- HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, Json, Ajax desired- Web Services, XML and XSLT desired- Operating systems: Linux desired- Source control systems (SVN) & Build Systems (Git/Maven)- Excellent problem-solving skills- Excellent presentation skills to present to technical content to the customers- Excellent negotiation, communication, customer interfacing, leadership and management skills- Strong English written and verbal communications skills- University degree in CS, EE or related- Previous experience working with communication service providers- Able to handle challenging situations in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.- Nimble, fast learner- Ability to work independently, ability to adapt quickly, positive attitude- Ability to travel up to 20% internationally while the average is expected to be lower,
