Job Description

    As a Senior Test Automation Engineer within the Onyx Coin Systems Technology team, you will have the opportunity to be part of the team delivering payments innovation through new technologies that enable strategic business transformation. As we deliver these new capabilities to the market, you will be entrusted to bring DevOps and SRE disciplines into the software development process, ensuring that we deliver highly reliable and resilient products to the market. You will face off to the Onyx business and technology stakeholders to understand project scope and requirements, define the quality measures and coverage, and implement automation frameworks, packages/scripts to ensure product works as designed. Seeking a candidate who has experience in test automation for large scale mission-critical applications within the payment services industry.Responsibilities:
    • Work with business partners to understand functional and non-functional requirements and design test scenarios for coverage
    • Implement tooling that enables automation of functional testing that is embedded into the CI/CD pipeline
    • Develop automation for executing non-functional testing including performance, resiliency and chaos testing
    • Maintain up-to-date process documentation on various aspects of DevOps/SRE
    • Provide support to the UAT team in areas test scenario definition and knowledge transfer
    • Build and operationalize test environments to support requirements for all in-flight projects
    • Research and evaluate testing methodologies and tooling for emerging technology such as blockchain and smart contracts
    • Maximize coverage of the regression test pack enabling key scenarios to be executed within a limited time window
    Qualifications:
    • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelors Degree or equivalent
    • Minimum 10 years of hands-on software development experience with at least 4 years in DevOps/SRE and Quality Engineering
    • Technical hands-on experience on Java technologies especially with microservices
    • Good appreciation of business processes and ability translate that into engineering requirements
    • Experience working within a Scrum team or Kanban team
    • Past experience within geographically diverse teams executing projects involving multiple system interfaces and interdependencies
    • Expertise in failure scenario analysis, contingency and resiliency strategies
    • Familiarity with UNIX OS and Cloud based infrastructures
    • Good communication and presentation skills
