Validate the VA loan documents with Lakewood and make necessary changes if required. Need to calculate the payoff amount, adjust the loan amount if required. Approve/Deny/Request for additional documents to complete the loan.Knowledge, Skills & Ability:1. Knowledge of the US Mortgage Industry2. In-depth knowledge of Origination/VA IRRRL Underwriting process and ability to read various VA Loan documents.3. Good communication skills (Written and Verbal) are required to understand and update comments and communicate with various stake holders.4. Strong Customer Service Skills, Phone/E-mail Etiquettes, Detail Oriented with good analytical skills and have the ability to make decisions based on the situation.5. Identify the minimum quality requirements for respective process2. Perform production as per the agreed Quality check parameters requirements3. Performs other duties as required by Supervisor / Management.Closing:Job Summary :Once the borrowers application for a mortgage loan has been approved and the borrower has received a commitment letter from the lender, the final step before the borrower can call the house of his own is when the closing process starts, or settlement. The closing agents first task is to complete the closing input and send the closing instruction for HUD- I preparation. After the HUD is received then they proceed with HUD-1 approval by sending final closing documents for signing.Knowledge, Skills & Ability:1. Basic Knowledge of Loan Origination Cycle- Loan Application, Processing, Underwriting and Closing.2. Basic knowledge of different types of mortgage and its functioning, documents involved in Closing, function of Title companies, preparation of Closing Disclosure package and importance of recession date in funding.3. Basic knowledge of Federal laws, necessity of RESPA and various laws in different parts of US related to mortgage4. Good communication skills (Written and Verbal) are required to understand and update comments and communicate with various stake holders.5. Strong Customer Service Skills, Detail Oriented with good analytical skills and have the ability to make decisions based on the situation.6. Should be able to effectively use a computer and have working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPointResponsibilities :1. Updating loan information and closing related fees in Client applications2. Verifying Tax, HOI and Flood information3. Verifying escrow information on the loan4. Calculating pay off amount as per funding date5. Updating the loan required information in different client applications6.
