Position Title Principal Engineer /Senior Principal Engineer Location:Bangalore 15-20yrs Responsibilities Competent in Finite Element Analysis in Linear, Non Linear, Static, Dynamic, modal analysis using ANSYS (Workbench/Classic) or Optistruct solvers. Good Experience in generating Finite Element Models/Mesh using Pre Processing tools like Hypermesh, ANSYS Design modeler etc. Sound Analytical knowledge of Structural calculations and Strength of Materials, Mechanical systems related to industrial machineries, construction equipment and heavy engineering products. Ability to understand the various applications that the product/equipment is designed for and apply it to CAE domain in developing Load cases & Boundary Conditions, interpret results of FEA to enable engineering decisions. Good Project management experience and proven problem-solver, good team and resource management experience. Having good Knowledge of Multibody Dynamics and Fatigue simulations & Life calculations and Vibration Studies. Having sound understanding of Structural testing and strain gaging & correlation studies. Having Basic knowledge of CAD softwares like Solidworks, Creo and NX and ERP systems. Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals, creative thinking. Having good knowledge of welding standards, manufacturing technologies. Provide technical support via direct communication to sales, product engineering, product safety and manufacturing. Basic knowledge of Product Testing standards and requirements. Ability to supervise the activities of Engineers and Designers, provide direction and mentoring on an individual basis to less experienced engineers. Maintains awareness of technical issues experienced by the team and provides feedback to upper level management. Helps in the analyzing of FEA results and makes changes to project direction/duration accordingly. Good English communication skills, both written and spoken. Good Presentation and interpersonal skills. Ability to make independent decisions. Strong orientation towards quality, safety and continuous improvement. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Understands organizational and technical constraints and finds solutions. Education Graduate in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a reputed college. Post Graduate qualification would be an added advantage Key Competencies Good Team work capabilities and Co-ordination with other teams. Must Have: Good FEA or CAE background and exposure to manufacturing/product development. Should be familiar and capable of performing FE Analysis in Linear, Non Linear, Static, Dynamic, modal analysis using ANSYS (Workbench/Classic) or Optistruct solvers. Nice to Have: Basic knowledge of CAD softwares like Solidworks, Creo and NX and ERP systems. Preference would be given to those having worked in Global engineering projects.
