Duties & Responsibilities: Strategic Responsibilities: Participate in overall design and strategy implementation for the business and ensure its alignment to clients requirements Coordinate the execution of the client transportation operational strategy/ plan in line with agreed upon guidelines. Drive the development of innovative service offerings strategies by studying and analyzing data on customers and target groups, using integrated analytical functionsAdministrative Responsibilities Responsible for overseeing the operations of all vehicles stationed at Mangalore and other locations as decided with the Client- Client interface/ Operational activities like loading, unloading of material, fleet management, route management, GPS tracking and implementation/ Basic knowledge of Accounting and ERP Implementation/ HSE and Safety Management Manages/ monitors efforts of all fleet managers to ensure achievement of the operations targets Supervise fleet management to improve the utilization and availability of the fleet, reduce downtime and troubleshoots deviations from routes. Ensure that fleet managers adhere to company regulations and freight transportation laws. Implementation of process reviews to ensure effective fleet operations. Oversee liaison with maintenance and repairs team to ensure fleet is in good and working condition at all times Proactively identify potential operational issues and opportunities in to the Company s Transportation Department Oversee in conjunction with the Maintenance & Repairs and HSE teams that the accidental / breakdown/ damaged / refurbished fleet is in operational condition in line with agreed timelines Managing drivers & loading supervisors Regularly checking the vehicle movements by using Vehicle TrackingPlanning and Budgeting: Prepare a transport operations budget which will be incorporated with Company s transport budget Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly operational reports. Develop standard operating procedures in such key areas as business, operations, delivery management, KPI definition and evaluates performance against these standards. Plan, develop and execute a vehicle replacement scheduleOthers: Keep abreast of recent developments in the logistics and transportation field Team Management and Driver Training and Management HSE and Safety Management must be aware of basic safety rules Knowledge of ERP/ SAP implementation will be an added advantage Knowledge of basic accounting principles attached to day to day operational activities will be desirable Job Designation OPERATIONS-MANAGER Job Location MANGALORE Required Qualification Graduate, must be aware of basic logistics, accounting, maintenance and safety practices Experience 6 10 yrs of relevant experience in Transportation/ Logistics Sector Vaccancy ON,
