Job Description

  • Thread dump analysis IBM Thread Analyzer and workbench or other similar tools
  • Heap dump analysis Eclipse MAT, IBM Heap Analyzer or other similar tools
  • Performance and memory profiling Wily Introscope, Dynatrace OneAgent, AppDynamics, JProbe, JProfiler, Newrelic or any other similar tools
  • Performance bottleneck isolation Any APM tools
  • GC algorithm analysis optimization IBM GC analyzer, Tantrum GC analyzer, any other online GC analysis utility, etc
Java / J2EE programming hands-on experience Framework development knowledge - Struts 2/Spring/Angular JS, etcWhat you will be doing:
  • Performance engineering optimization of releases and benchmarking the application code
  • Support applications software performance that is delivered on time and within budget
  • Work closely with customers, business analysts and team members to understand business requirements that drive analysis and design of quality technical solutions ensuring alignment with business and IT strategies and complying with FIS architectural standards
  • Review User Story, Requirements Documents and Create Automation test scripts / Perform Debugging and test script execution
What you bring:
  • Total 6+ years of experience in Java Development including 3+ years of exposure in Performance engineering
  • Good performance engineering tools experience like Wily Introscope, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, JProbe / JProfiler, etc
  • Should be able to take thread dumps, heap dumps and analyze for performance bottleneck
  • Database and system resource performance monitoring, collect metrics, analyze and isolate bottleneck if any
  • Application server tuning like tomcat or Websphere or Weblogic or JBoss for JVM
  • Good knowledge of GC tuning and different GC algorithms or policy for various JVMs like Oracle, IBM, etc
Added bonus if you have:
  • Performance testing tools and knowledge LoadRunner, Neoload, Jmeter
  • JVM arguments optimization Jconsole, Visual Java VM, etc
  • DB Optimization:
    • SQL Profiling using any of the SQL optimizers / Embarcadero, etc
    • SQL Cost analysis and explain plain
    • Optimizing Indexes or other DB parameters
    • AWR / ADDR report analysis, etc.
    • Code review using SonarQube ,etc like tools
