What Youll DoYou will leverage your experience to design and implement performance automation framework and test library for performance analysis. As a member of the Performance engineering team, you will develop tools and automation to mimic various workloads and customer scenarios and use them effectively to better understand system performance under various conditions, charting, scripting, auto-analysis of performance data for Cisco Hyperflex, the next generation of hyperconverged systems.Who Youll Work WithYou will work with platform engineering team to analyze and root cause performance results. You will work with QA on test plans. You will work with product support to interface with customers using your product. You will collaborate with platform engineering team members and with other members of your team to deliver every day and continue to develop and enhance your expertise as a storage performance automation engineer.Who You AreYou have 4+ years of experience in developing test automation framework, test libraries, automating functional tests in one or more of following programming languages:Python/Perl/C/C++/Java, experience with integrating automation test frameworks such as Jenkins, experience with storage and networking protocols, ability to debug and extend automated tests, performance statistics analysis for scalable, distributed storage stacks.In addition, you have experience with one or more of:Experience using virtualization technologies such as VMware ESX/VSphere, Hyper-V, KVM, or Xen. VMware is preferred.Experience in testing clustered/distributed systems.Ability to leverage open source tools for test development and executionUnderstanding of file system concepts and protocols such as: networked file systems, logical volumes, journaled filesystems, tiered storage, NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, Shared LUNs etc.Why CiscoWe connect everything: people, processes, data, and things.
