Senior SQL DBA, Performance Expert in Performance Tuning and Query Optimization, Partitioning, Compression, indexing and wait stats Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues etc. Implement, review and tune table indexes as needed. SQL Server installation and upgrades. Plan and coordinate data migrations between systems Work with application development team to develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures. Demonstrate best practices for development and performance Review SQL Server objects in development for advising opportunity Provide technical support of database environments/applications, including software installation, database creation, upgrades, patches, problem diagnosis, performance monitoring, database maintenance, process automation, evaluation, and tuning recommendations; develop, implement and support backup/restore, disaster recovery, and data replication procedures and exercises Share domain and technical expertise, providing performance guidance to other peers and team members Able to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams. Mentor and provide performance guidance to DBAs and developers as needed. Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems, troubleshoot SQL Server service outages as they occur, including after-hours and weekends Requirements: 8-10 years of experience as SQL server DBA with specialization in performance tuning 5 or more years of experience in software development, using Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and T-SQL language (queries, views, procedures), SQL Server Database Design, Stored Procedure Design, and implementation. Must know SQL inside and out.
