Key responsibilities: Design of modem features for next LTE releases, and improvement of algorithms. Development of C/ C++ code for fixed-point DSPs, task-optimized CPUs, and HW accelerators in a multi-processor environment. Analysis of expected algorithm performance. Design of a simulation models in Matlab, and thorough testing of solutions over a wide range of scenarios. Integration and verification of integrated DSP and hardware performance. Derivation of system requirements and software specification for baseband and RF control modules. Specification of blocks implemented in hardware. Additional preferred knowledge and experience: 5G NR theory and implementation (Massive MIMO, LDPC codes, POLAR codes). Object oriented design Object oriented programming C++ RT systems based on Intel 0x86 (IPP, MKL, AVX2 etc) Skills/Experience: Significant background and good understanding of signal processing and communications theory. Experience in algorithm simulation at the link-level, and preferably also system-level. Experience in fixed-point signal processors, and code optimization in C for efficient DSP instruction set architecture utilization. Good understanding of analog radio constraints, impairments, and the ability to model them in the simulation tool and devise digital mitigation solutions. Programming experience in Matlab and C/C++ is required. Good mathematical and analytical skills and enthusiasm for problem solving. Ability to debug and test real-time DSP code using a debugger and logic analyzer. Experience in disciplined work methodology by applying common systems engineering and software engineering practices. Preferred: Experience in automating simulation tools using scripting is desired. Effective team player and good communication skills The candidate is expected to be proficient in C/C++, Embedded Programming, Protocols Development & Low Latency MAC Schedulers Prior experience in development of LTE-A/NR MAC, RRC, PDCP, RLC, 802.11ac MAC is preferred Strong academic background with excellent oral and written communication skills is a must.
