Pressure Prediction Specialist Location:Bengaluru, KA, INExxonMobil Job Role SummaryWe are seeking dynamic, creative, and resourceful candidates for ExxonMobil s Bengaluru, India, location to work challenging pore pressure and in- situ stress analysis problems in collaboration with a multi- disciplinary team of pressure prediction specialists located in Houston, USA. Candidates will conduct applied project work integrating petrophysical data, basin modeling results, mudlogging, drilling mechanics, and geophysical data into assessments of pore pressure and stress state both pre- and post- drilling and at scales ranging from wellbore specific to basin wide.Job Responsibilities:In consultation with ExxonMobil s Operations Geology group in Houston, define project objectives, work scopes and deliverablesDevelop offset well stick charts summarizing drilling results and pressure indicators for offset wells and integrating offset well data into a wellbore specific postdrill interpretation of pore pressure and in- situ stress at offset wellsIntegrate wellbore specific pressure estimates with geologic interpretation to establish sub- regional to basin- scale controls on pressure and stressEvaluate response of physical properties to pressure (e.g., sonic velocity or resistivity)Integrate offset well drilling results with geophysical data and the prospect geology to develop wellbore specific pre- drill pressure prognoses appropriate for drill well planningDevelop sub- regional scale 3D models of pore pressure and minimum stress to support multi- well development or production drilling operationsWhere possible, leverage basin- scale pore pressure interpretation broadly to impact hydrocarbon systems assessment, trap/ seal constraints and/ or geophysical data interpretation and processing Job Requirements:Master s or PhD from a recognized university in Geology, Geophysics, Engineering or Physics; candidates with a Bachelor s degree will be considered depending on relevant industry experienceDemonstrated record of relevant academic research and/ or hands- on industry experience in pressure prediction and surveillance, hydrogeologic concepts, hydrocarbon systems analysis, drillwell operations, mudlogging data interpretation and geophysical data analyses will be an advantageMinimum three years of closely related professional experienceStrong integration and analytical skillsProficient in EnglishAbility to travel internationallyWork effectively with rapidly shifting deadlines and priorities,
