We seek talented software engineers with strong programming experience and expertise in large systems technology environments.This position involves developing new features and capabilities to IO Device Drivers for HPEs 3PAR StoreServ family of storage products. 3PAR StoreServ Storage Servers use a cluster-based architecture to deliver a single storage platform that scales from two to eight controllers while offering a highly available multi-tenanted storage server capable of tolerating hardware and software faults without service interruption.Responsibilities:

  • Designs enhancements, updates, and programming changes for 3PAR IO Device Drivers.
  • Identifies and debugs product defects to root cause in 3PAR Device Drivers, and designs and implements appropriate solutions to fully remediate product defects.
  • Create functional specs and other design documentation
  • Works and collaborate with other 3PAR OS teams, QA, Customer Support to solve complex customer and release issues.
Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • Typically 12 years experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Experienced in Linux kernel and user space development.
  • Experienced in device driver development.
  • Experienced with storage and networking protocols (NVMe, SAS, FC, iSCSI, FCoE, SCSI TCP/IP).
  • Experienced with PCIe and protocol analyzer usage and trace analysis is a plus.
  • Proficient with the git version control system or similar software version control systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in software design, including methodologies and design tools is a plus.
  • Proficient in software estimation and planning is a plus
  • Proficient programming in C.
