Come join our IOT division at Cypress where we are building solutions to enable new applications for the embedded products of tomorrow to connect things to the cloud and machine-2-machine. We are looking for a candidate who has a passion and strives to exceed the exceptions. As an Application Engineer, you will help key customers design and build the systems for smart home devices, fitness trackers, car electronics, and many other cool things that represent the next evolution of the Internet where everything will be connected together. You will also work closely with engineering and sales and marketing to help grow our IOT business.
SkillsAbility to work with a variety of internal teams in Hardware and Software Engineering, Systems, Field Applications Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Regulatory teams and external customers Experience with RF board design - understand the design rules, schematic capture, layout and related CAD tools such as Allegro and OrCAD. Hands on debugging RF wireless systems, optimization/tuning system performance, and knowledge of FCC compliance test. Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscope, network analyzer, VSA, and other WLAN/BT test equipment like Litepoint. Understanding of various host interfaces: PCIe, SDIO, USB, I2S, I2C, UART, DDR/flash memory, micro-controller, and sensors are a plus. Knowledge of analog design, power management unit like switching regulator/LDO, power amplifier/LNA, and noise sensitive circuits. Experience in embedded system design or applications/customer support would be a plus Demonstrate ability to design turnkey solution and understand all aspects of product life cycle are a plus Knowledge of Python script is a plus. Strong team-player and practical hands-on problem solver Ability to multitask in a high energy environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills and enthusiasm for solving customer problems in a collaborative manner
