Come for a job, stay for a career.A Day in the LifeThe candidate will be part of the global Quality team for the RCS operating unit, and work on new product development for electromechanical medical devices. The candidate will define reliability goals, metrics and strategy for new products and support post market reliability activities including service and complaints. The candidate will be responsible for overall product reliability including requirements, test strategy and execution. The candidate will also support engineering team to determine design margins for product designed. You will work in collaboration with a global team based in India, Italy, China and USA throughout the product development lifecycle to bring new products to market. You will need to be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and be confident about combining technical expertise with logical reasoning to make trade-offs between test methodologies, time-to-market, and budget. You should have an entrepreneurial spirit, a can-do attitude, and possess great communication/collaboration skillsResponsibilities Include:

  • Provides guidance and leadership to all aspects of reliability engineering such as HASS, HALT, de-rating, service life, growth and demonstration testing.
  • Develops, co-ordinates in collaboration with cross-functional teams for technical reliability studies and design of experiments (DOE), reliability modeling, predictions and allocations.
  • Lead and develop new product field replacement strategies.
  • Responsible for providing data on preventative maintenance and service strategies for new products.
  • Subject matter expertise to internal employees and cross-functional teams with regards to reliability principles/reliability tools.
  • Build and drive an effective reliability program for new product by including reliability engineering discipline in our day to day operations by leveraging statistical methods, statistical process control and sampling plans.
  • Well versed with reliability software tools to facilitate comprehensive set of reliability engineering modeling and analysis to drive DFR (design for reliability) activities
  • Well versed in Risk management principles and collaborating with team in analyzing reliability failures that lead to hazardous situations.
  • Serve as reliability lead for all reliability issues.
  • Apply sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues.
Must Have: Minimum Qualifications
  • 7-9 years of experience with a Bachelor s Degree in engineering; or
  • 3-5 years of experience with a Master s Degree in engineering discipline/Pharmaceutical; or
  • Medical industry experience preferred
Nice to Have
  • Experience designing and testing medical device preferred
  • Experience with ReliaSoft or similar reliability software packages
  • Working knowledge of design controls, risk management, Reliability planning and analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, technical and problem-solving skills
  • Extensive expert level of knowledge of reliability engineering /lean six- sigma principles including failure investigations, preventive maintenance, service etc.
  • Skilled in statistical methods, DOE studies, Weibull analysis and sampling plans.
  • Design for Six Sigma, Critical to Quality training and experience a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across multiple geographies.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Able to work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Customer focused and service oriented
