Description

Job Desc ription - Principal Hardware Engineer

The Principal Engineer is responsible for leading the design and development of hardware products and associated development boards. These products include communication systems and accessories like combiner boxes , Auto transfer Switches, Gateway, Dongles, etc . Continuously exploring third-party products in the market and evaluating its suitability to our applications will also be required.

Specific Requirements:

Hardware Development

  • Hands-on design ing & developing of advanced hardware systems as required by the roadmap
  • Responsible for the id entification and qualification of third party hardware systems and its applicability
  • Familiar with Product Life Cycle management
  • Familiar with Hardware manufacturing process.
  • Independent judgment on methods/techniques
  • Mentor/coach other employees
  • Great breadth in concepts and latest trends in t echnologies
  • Works closely, interacts and leads discussions with different departments

Experience, Education & Skills

  • Bachelors or Masters in Electrical & Electronics Systems Engineering
  • 1 3 years hands-on experience in the design & development of hardware components
  • Knowledge and experience in all aspects of hardware systems design including:
  • Analog, digital, mixed-signal, discrete, and embedded circuit design
  • Component selection, specification, and sourcing
  • Hands-on model development, prototyping, and debugging
  • Schematic and PCB layout development
  • Experience with development of communication devices like modems
  • Good leadership skills to lead team on project and steer technology for the product.
  • Experience in product development within the electronic industry is required
  • Project management, leadership, and multi-tasking skills as well as the ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Lead company-wide initiatives as directed by senior management and steer technical aspects discussing actively with different departments influencing the product.
  • C ommunicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members
  • Lead a complete product system design in accordance to the company road map and guide the design team.
  • Identify and lead system wide cost reduction opportunities with Architectural changes when necessary
  • Participate and provide inputs into Architectural discussions.
