For more information about us, please visit us at www.wdc.com Work location : Bangalore Job Title : Principal Engineer, Industrial EngineeringResponsible for Owning, Managing, Improving and enhancing existing Factory Systems and Processes for factories in WDC Leading and supervising team, coordinating with factory teams in Asia and IT teams in India for changes and improvements in existing factory systems Work with various factory departments to identify initiatives/projects/enhancements/Processes to solve business requirements and problems. Gather requirements and conceptualize to solve a business problem. Once initiatives/projects/enhancements/Processes are identified, drive it from end-end with following stages(Pre-scope, Scope and requirements, Design, development , FUT, UAT, change management, go live, Post go live ) Make optimal trade-offs between schedule, resources, and scope, and applies advanced technical and business knowledge to address major risks, challenges, and obstacles Responsible for timely project delivery while working with IT/Business teams Review project plans and timelines and ensure support from all stakeholders for the projects Host/Drive project status meetings and management review meetings Provide User training for any new system, processes, initiatives Post go-live support, debug issues and identify action and owners Guide and supervise the team to implement projects and enhancements Perform managerial duties like below : 1:1 meetings with subordinates Host team meetings Scheduling hiring events, creating job requirements and hiring new employees, when needed. Evaluating and performing staff performance reviews. Admin Processes like leave management, approvals, reimbursements etcBasic Qualifications: 8+ years- relevant work experience in a top tier company driving programs or projects related to factory and supply chain Highly proficient in written and oral communications; able to produce concise, relevant, strategically-driven documents and presentations to leaders. Analytical and be able to justify decisions and approaches with data Have the ability to influence without authority and do so by using data and fact Able to deal with varied stakeholders and earn their trust.
