The RM ensures there s a proper structure in place to allow the organization to scale efficiently. The RM needs to interface and communicate with test managers, development managers, IT operations, and the PMO on a daily basis. Equally, the RM must have the confidence to manage up and provide reporting as well as meeting updates to senior IT management and line of business.Skills Required:

• 8+ years of expertise and leadership in Release Management
• Strong project management skills is a plus
• Experience in governing both waterfall as well as Agile/DevOps project lifecycles
• Experience in setting up Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) is a must
• Experience with setting up Gitlab/Jenkins/Teamcity/any Continuous Integration tool is a plus
• Experience with automation tools and strong ability to choose the best tools and solutions for the release management function
• Knowledge of ITIL standards and best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
• Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a must
• Bachelor s degree or higher in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/ Management Information Systems and/or equivalent work experience

Role / Responsibilities -

• Develop common strategies for release governance across multiple departments.
• Establish consistent release management processes.
• Facilitate cross-department coordination of release management functions.
• Create common standards and formats for release playbooks and work with management to standardize release decision-making.
• Define common mechanisms for rollback and standards for capturing release-related performance indicators.
• Forecast demand for release resources and identify opportunities for greater efficiency across the organization
• Maintain the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors
• Participate in CAB meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks
• Forward plan the release windows and cycles across enterprise programs.
• Facilitate quarterly cross-enterprise release planning sessions.
• Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
• Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams in different locations
• Work with release engineers to understand impacts of branches and code merges
• Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes
• Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
• Deliver weekly release reports
• Communicate release details and schedules to Stakeholders as require.
• Produce Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans
• Develops scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms
• As a 24X7X365 organization, shift work, holidays, weekends and on-call responsibilities may be required. Assesses when it is necessary to engage or escalate to more senior resources to resolve more complex issues.
