Job Description

The Principal Engineer, Service Delivery will be responsible for providing the primary management, administration, support, and ongoing maintenance of customer Infrastructure Platforms within a 24x7x365 environment and data center environment. This role must be able to understand, execute, and document moderate to complex operational tasks and work requests that are assigned and have experience in moderate to complex research and fact finding using various tools and informational sources.Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience; or Master s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience
  • 6+ years of experience in systems engineering or product development.
  • Automation frameworks like Ansible/Puppet -- automating a real-world production environment
  • Programming experience with Python, ShellScripts, JavaScript, PowerShell
  • Develop tools and implement systems to automate server and other infrastructure provisioning
  • Exposure to end to end CI/CD Solutions for automating software s or infrastructure.
  • Maintain and improve CMDB keeping up with the current technologies in the space.
  • Experience with development of container based / virtualized environment that will scale to support converged infrastructure management at scale.
  • Experience with methodologies such as Infrastructure as code (IaC), DevOps, Agile technology delivery, Continuous Integration / Continuous Development (design and usage).
  • Architecting end to end CI/CD solutions using popular Platforms like Jenkins or GitLab
  • Leverage scripting languages to build automated solutions and integrations on an ad-hoc basis. Languages often include PowerShell, BASH, Perl, Ruby and Python across both Windows and Linux systems.
  • Work with XML and JSON based APIs to orchestrate integration between infrastructure components.
  • Candidates should be a technical domain expert, experienced with DevOps both as a philosophy and having implemented its ideas
  • Open to working in flexible shifts
Desirable Requirements:
  • BE or MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or acceptable combination of equivalent industry experience will be considered.
  • Experience with VMware vSphere, NSX, Linux Administration and scripting (Red Hat, Ubuntu), KVM.
  • Experience with Software-defined Networking (SDN) and Software Defined Storage (SDS), GlusterFS, Ceph.
  • Exposure to Configuration Management: Ansible, Puppet, Puppet Enterprise
  • Experience with TLS & CA, DNS, BIND, DCHP, Razor, Sendmail, Postfix.
  • Experience working with container platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
  • Understanding of Microservice Architecture and REST based implementation of APIs
  • Very good understanding of declarative programming based on YAML
  • Experience with Networking concepts VXLAN, TCP/IP, Overlay networks, routing, switching, OSI.
  • Experience working with server platforms from vendors such as HP, Dell, Cisco, IBM.
