Job Description

The DPAD Solution Architect will be responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance / support of Provide technical expertise and architectural solutions in Data Protection, infrastructure, hardware, Storage, virtualization, hosting service and network areas for Dell EMC clients.Key Responsibility:

  • Responsible for complete infrastructure design, review, and maintain, Data Protection, Virtualization, Cloud, Storage, Systems, Network, Capacity solutions.
  • Acts as expert for infrastructure Managed Services teams in the plan, design, and delivery of IMS support solutions.
  • Advises teams of IT technology standard requirements, methodology and processes.
  • Drives short & long term architecture strategy for the overall IT project portfolio for key business segments supported by IMS Dell EMC
  • Participates in proof of concepts to assist in defining technology direction and enabling business strategy.
  • Communicates and validates program architecture with IMS internal and Client s infrastructure team, project management team, and technology services management team.
  • Conducts end-to-end technical plan design.
  • Develops long-term strategy for historical data retention and archival plan for storage needs.
  • Defines data retention, backup, and recovery methods and plans.
  • Develops enterprise standards to ensure compatibility and integration of multi-vendor & client platforms.
  • Design and develop infrastructure blueprints for the implementation of new solutions.
  • Responsible for impact analysis and design modifications to existing systems to support new solutions.
  • Develops specifications for interfaces from existing to new systems.
  • Maintain a common documentation library of standardized procedures and configurations
  • Provide third level support for incidents and problems in designated areas of expertise and act as a last point of technical escalation.
  • Communicate and collaborate with local IMS staff as well as colleagues in other parts of the world
Requirement Details:
  • In-depth knowledge and 8+ years of experience in Dell EMC Data Protection product suites
  • Experience in testing, implementation, change management, and upgrade/migration of backup infrastructure.
  • Knowledge desired on module backup such as Oracle, SQL, NDMP and VADP over Networker or Avamar, DPA custom report config
  • Performance Tuning, Cloning configuration, troubleshooting, Staging, Media Management, Disaster Recovery and new device provisioning in production.
  • Skilled on test and acceptance, PEQ, technical RACI, capacity planning & Problem Management
  • Good knowledge and Understanding of ITIL framework
  • Proficiency on virtualization and cloud technologies
Desirable Requirements:
  • ITIL Foundation and other intermediate module
  • Avamar | Networker | Data Domain | (DPA)Data Protection Advisor | IDPA(Integrated data protection appliance) | DPC(Data Protection Central) | CSM(Cloud snapshot manager)
  • Products with Experts Certification in one of products is a must
