Job Description

The role is expected to participate in a 24x7x365 shift rotation/ on-call calendar with colleagues and be able to work in a positive and collaborative fashion with fellow team-members, senior engineering architect staff, vendors and customers. The Sr. Delivery Specialist will assist with process maturation, development, technical standards creation and drive operational excellence through consistent delivery and best practices. This role will also include the core fundamentals of day to day operations based on the ITIL methodology.Key Responsibility:

  • Develops and cultivates strong customer relationships. Holds responsibility for achieving the DellEMC Bar of Excellence as the highest level of Customer Satisfaction for every customer. Expected to have strong customer-facing skills including negotiation, conflict resolution, and crisis management.
  • Contributes to the development of strategies, policies and best practices through participation in team meetings and other direct contributions.
  • Adheres to and utilizes proper Escalation and Change Control procedures. Prepares, maintains and submits activity/progress reports and time recording/management reports in accordance with published procedures
  • Stays current on technical specifications for hardware/software requirements of EMC and industry products through professional associations, trade journals, networking and associated training and seminars. Actively works to educate others on potential problems and resolutions.
  • Participates, as needed, as a technical expert in the pre-sales qualification and is responsible for the delivery of the technical architectural design, strategizes and plans that will be delivered in the engagement. May be responsible for the creation of proposals that address current and evolving client requirements
  • Participates in requirements gathering for project engagements
  • Contributes to the development of strategies, policies and best practices through participation in team meetings and other direct contributions.
Requirement Details:
  • 8-10 years industry experience: design, install, configure, support
  • MCSE and MCITP [Windows server 2012 or 2016]
  • Experience working in a virtualized environment with VMware vSphere 6
  • Redhat Linux 6/7 exposure and knowledge
  • Cisco UCS Knowledge
  • VMware vRealize Suite knowledge [VRA/VRO] cloud operation
  • Installation and Configuration of Domain Controllers.
  • Administration and Troubleshooting of Windows 2003, 2008 and 2012 servers, DHCP, DNS, IIS, ISA, Antivirus.
  • Experience on VMware ESX 6.0, 6.5 would be preferable.
  • Experience in P2V, vMotion and VMware virtual center.
  • Good hands on command line of ESX.
  • Good hands on Experience in diagnostics & troubleshooting of ESX server environment.
  • Good knowledge on snapshot, cloning and Templates
  • Good understanding of HA and DRS environment.
  • Assisting on escalated issues from Level 2 team
  • Creating document on P1 and P2 tickets & Handling the RCA for P1 and P2 tickets
  • Deploying and managing the Patching solution like WSUS, SCCM
  • Analyzing the ticket dumps and fixing the repeated issues
  • Creating Knowledge article or SOP documents for Level 2 team for repeated issues
  • Experience installing and configuring vSphere, Windows, Linux, rack and chassis based servers
Desirable Requirements:
  • ITIL Foundation and other intermediate module
  • Avamar | Networker | Data Domain | (DPA)Data Protection Advisor | IDPA(Integrated data protection appliance) | DPC(Data Protection Central) | CSM(Cloud snapshot manager)
  • Products with Experts Certification in one of products is a must
