Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. ODI supports complex transformation rules in data integration flows, and its scalable architecture takes advantage of various hardware architectures to enable horizontal and vertical scaling to support large data volumes. ODI provides high availability (HA) of integration operations without single points of failure, and built-in metadata extensibility and knowledge-modules (KMs) enables customers and partners to easily extend the product to meet custom integration needs. Our group is responsible for the product backend, and our goal is to provide a solid infrastructure to other components of product. The team develops and maintains:The metadata repository - all the metadata used by the product is stored in a relational database Object-relational persistence framework - solves the object-relational impedance mismatch by customizing Eclipselink persistence Metadata security - covers authentication, authorization, as well as user/role and privileges management Metadata export/import - provides export/import of metadata in XML format, embedding logic to compute dependencies on export and customizing the import Metadata versioning - creates versions of metadata objects and provides comparison service Public Java SDK - exposes the ODI backend through a set of Java SDK to be used by 3rd party applications both form JSE and JEE architectures Runtime -agents used by the product that coordinates the execution of the ODI sessions Codegen/Mapping-Mappings are the logical and physical organization of data sources, targets, and the transformations through which the data flows from source to target. KM-Knowledge Modules that make it possible to quickly and easily integrate technologies, databases, and applications. e.g Oracle,Exadata,BigData etc.You will be part of development team designing and developing the core product features.Responsibilities:Perform technical research and write functional and design specifications. Design, implement, test and maintain features or enhancements to existing components. Review test specifications and documentation manuals.Qualifications:BS/MS in Computer Science or related fields 9+ years experience with Core Java,J2EE,SQL and XML Experience with Object-Relational persistence frameworks (TopLink/EclipseLink, Hibernate, etc) and transaction management Object-oriented design and programming
